Wee, haven't opened this thread cuz i think there won't be anything interesting, but THERE IS

Apparently, yankxz's point of view is sooo true. Those who think grammar is important is those who still wears short pants in school. (yes, i mean you)

And to quote Yordan's post

weks it's usefull! if your grammar good, people will think you are intellect. if your grammar is bad you're not intelect
See the red text? Now imagine this, you are doing a presentation in a huge corporation where all the money is sitting in their chairs, they actually care if you are intelligent right? But, which one did they care the most, your presentation or your grammar skills?
Not enough? How bout this, you are asking some really hot chick in your class to go on a date. You decide to write a romantic poem in english. Which one did she care the most, your skill to find romantic words, or your grammar skills?

So, to wrap it up, grammar is only important when you are taking tests. In the ordinary life, grammar is the second last thing you will think about.

"That" means the following incident that occured.

um, for example you are telling a lie to your friend, your friend which knows that you told a lie will say "That never happened!"

"want" means a desire to eat satay, possibility is 40-50% that you'll be eating satay.

while "will" means a must to eat satay, it is either the only food you can buy on time, or your money can afford.

yes, they were different.

hahah...yea...you're right... ^^
however,it's not because it is two...
but because it's using they which is known as plural subject...
subject 'they', should be using 'were' instead of 'was'...
they prefer to plural things...
'was' which is the past tense of 'is', used when it comes to singular subject,anyway... ^^

Conditional sentences?
Like these below?

Conditional Sentence Type 1
→ It is possible and also very likely that the condition will be fulfilled.

Form: if + Simple Present, will-Future

Example: If I find her address, I’ll send her an invitation.

Conditional Sentence Type 2
→ It is possible but very unlikely, that the condition will be fulfilled.

Form: if + Simple Past, Conditional I (= would + Infinitive)

Example: If I found her address, I would send her an invitation.

Conditional Sentence Type 3
→ It is impossible that the condition will be fulfilled because it refers to the past.

Form: if + Past Perfect, Conditional II (= would + have + Past Participle)

Example: If I had found her address, I would have sent her an invitation.
What's your problem,then?
