Sneak Peek - Alienware DG
Alienware.DG, previously known as [R]Digi have become a force to be reckoned with, participating in many online and offline events throughout Asia.
The team first started off by participating in SMM 2009 held in Malaysia, and after experience with some local competition, [R]Digi managed to claim the 6th place of the Asian DotA Championships. After the disbandment of the late Fnatic/XCN team, Ailenware.DG has taken centre-stage and are now looking to consolidate themselves as the best team in Indonesia with this acquired sponsorship from Ailenware.
However, in other parts of the world, the Indonesian team is still unheard of. Therefore, myMYM has taken the opportunity to bring the next big thing in the Indonesian scene and possibly the world to our page, in the hopes that 2010 will hold great things for this young and promising team.

Brief History:
AlienwareDG was mainly formed from three seperate teams in Bandung City, Indonesia the years of competing in order to triumph over the late Fnatic/XCN team. The name of Alienware.DG is still unheard of and not recognized in the global competitive scene to date. They used to compete locally in some LAN cafes until stumbling upon each other in local competitions.
After returning from SMM, wAR and Horror, former [R]Digi members decided to build a new team at the end of 2009. The team members were scattered on different teams at that time, where they eventually recruit LucH and BencLunG who was from Bliss and Easy from Avava. Today, the team stands head and shoulders above the rest in Indonesia with a sponsorship from Alienware to show for their efforts.

Hi, please give a brief introduction of yourself.
Hi, my name is Doddy known as AlienwareDGwAR. I have played DotA for 5 years and I come from Indoensia, exactly on Bandung, West Java. I have one dream to bring Indonesian DotA to become a good electronic sport.
Can you explain to us about your current roster and their roles?
This is our current roster for now:

Describe each of your teammates in detail, be it personal or dota-wise. Tell us something funny/interesting about each of your team member.
Ok I will start with Horror first. Horror is drafter and commander also in team. He have a bad habit, sometimes he's too shy with girls who met him. LucH is the tallest one and he really likes to speak loud all the time. It makes us really hard to sleep at night.
BencLunG is the youngest among us and also a weird person too. He makes his whole life morning become night, and night become morning, always stay up. On this occasion, I also want to introduce Easy as our newest member known as ex-Avava player and previously as the former of eMporium.J who won the FnaticMSI DotA Tournament in Indonesia last year.
It's really hard to tell that my teammate Horror, his age is almost 20. But please, don't laugh at him. He is still virgin since he was born to this earth, HAHAHA. Ah, I remembered he have touched a girl's hand, but the girl was his sister.
After the victory at Alienware DotA Tournament in Indonesia, can your team now be called number one locally?
I do not know, this question should be thrown to someone else and ask them about our performances.
Who are the main threats to your team's dominance, both locally and internationally?
All teams that we have encountered are the main threats for us. Some teams played well and have their own tactics that are unpredictable for us.
Which is better, Asia or Europe? Why?
Ok in my opinion, Asia still the best, why? Asia got ToFu and Hy, better sleep at home than get raped by them.
Although we are still light years away, who will win SMM 2010?
Hmm, maybe the champion will come from Asian team which combine two teams into one. We wil see soon.
How did you all manage to get Alienware as your main title sponsor? Did your first placing at their competition have anything to do with that?
Excellent! They promised to engage us in many offline tournaments in Asia as well as Europe. I think Alienware is the biggest sponsorship ever in Indonesia.
Give us your opinion on the newest 6.66b version, and any specific tactics.
v6.66b is really different with v6.64, more complicated game, more gankers, and especially with the item "Urn of Shadow", that item makes a team add Warlock as their sixth hero. All teams have different tactics, and we still play with two carry heroes.
Following your first match in Storm the Front #3 against SoS, what do you feel about your team's fame which become the fastest match with less than 10 minutes to down the throne?
We do not know that our replay will be uploaded and viewed by numerous viewers.
We just come out with this idea that we have tried at a LAN game to push mid immediately and it works since the opponent's pick enabled us to play rush the line.
How do you keep in "dota-shape"? How do you train with your team? Beside the training, does the team constantly hang out together as a bunch of friends or the relationship ends at the screen itself?
We are hard trainees. Training every night until we get tired is our habit. Of course, we can see the result from our training program later.
Sometimes all of us hangout, watch movie, and go restaurants together.
What are your team's expectations for the future?
Not too complicated. We are only trying to follow ex-XcN's footsteps in the competitive scene and bring the Indonesian name into the international scene. We need to be ogled by the media and government that DotA in Indonesia as one of the electronic sports that is still alive nowadays. Not a game that is too negative which make people into maniac people in game.
What leagues/tournaments are you all looking to participate in the future? Will ESWC be on your list?
We are following many online tournaments such as Storm the Front#3, KODE5, participated in AEDL, and also participating in offline tournament as well.
About the ESWC, we must ask our sponsors first because Paris is far away and we need more budget. And for Indonesia, I am not sure ESWC in Indonesia got DotA on their list. It's not on our schedule, but it must be our target. Hope Alienware can send us to Paris.
