    Default English Idioms

Following the request of a fellow forumer who didn't shows up here again when I asked him , I've decided to made this thread.

So, what are idioms? Idioms are series of words that have different meanings from their literal ones. They are something like peribahasa in our native language. Idioms are like a way to describe something in a daily conversations.

    Here are some example:

    Piece of cake
One of the most used idioms. When you say "piece of cake" after you were asked to do a task, it means the task was very easy to complete.
Example: You want me to kill that man? Piece of cake!

    Out of the blue
    Completely out of nowhere.
Example: So, I was walking alone the other night. Then suddenly, out of the blue, a man without anything to wear just shows up in front of me!

Kill two birds with one stone
It's like completing two task at the same time.
Example: You went to the Trivium concert? You should totally buy their merchandise there! It's like killing two birds with one stone.

    Some rules to follow :
    1. Using English is a must.
    2. If you want to share some idioms, you have to include a definition and an example, like the ones above.
    3. OOT posts are not allowed.
    4. Warning and infraction applies here, so be careful.

Feel free to share idioms or ask questions about idioms here
