You can check a specific player's total AFK time by double clicking on his name. This will open up a new screen: Heroes, Skills, and Item settings. Here you can see the AFK indicator. This indicator calculates the total for all periods of time where the player did not perform any ingame actions or did not send any chat messages; then, a general correction is made to filter for time spend dead.
