nb. gw tau siapa orang2 yang dia maksud, tapi gw sensor aja, biar orangnya gak malu kalo baca ini. "He" juga sebuah sensoran, biar dia ga malu gw permaluin disini.
Well, what? Selama gw maen WoW, gw ga pernah percaya talent 57/3/11 spec Arcane itu dibilang talent PVP. Arcane PVP pasti ngambil Improved Blink, Improved Mana Shield, Magic Attunement full, dan Magic Absorbtion juga full. Talent gw yang itu gw KHUSUSKAN untuk raid TotC, dimana banyak boss yang deal AREA DAMAGE yang bisa diMANFAATKAN!

Actually, its still VERY useful to an arcane raiding mage. All bosses in toc/togc, as well as half of those in ICC do frost or fire damage that is very likely to hit you at some point in the fight. The only question is are you a fail 2-button arcane mage, or do you know when to use frost/fire ward and even mana shield in a pinch.
To give specifics. In ToC and ToGC:
Gormok will drop fire bombs on you
Dreadscale will hit you with fire from burning bile,
icehowl will hit you with frost from his breath attack. Preventing this may prevent freezing.
Jaraxxus will hit you with fire from legion flames, Volcano, and infernals
Faction champions have various fire damage spells, most notably hellfire.
The Twin Val'kyr's White balls and possibly other white effects do fire damage,
Anub'arak does Frost in the form of penetrating cold.
In ICC:
Lord marrogar does frost in the form of his coldflame
Lady deathwhisper launches frostbolts in phase 2
Gunship has its rockets or burning pitch which do fire damage.
Blood Princes do fire with fireballs
Dreamwalker's adds do a firend frost damage, most notable is fire from Lay Waste.
Sindragosa has a frost aura and does various spikes of frost damage throughout the fight
The Lich King himself does frost damage in phase 1.5 and 2.5, although its something you will want to avoid
Saurfang, Festergut, Rotface, Proffesor Putricide, and Blood Queen do no Fire or Frost damage. Unless you mana shield which is typically not worth it, Incanters absorption (will be) useless in these fights.
What I gonna say? AMPM udah TERKONTAMINASI SAMA SPEC FFB. Spec Fireball ga ada, Spec Frost PVE ga ada, Spec Arcane SANGAT MINIM, SAMPE-SAMPE DILUPAKAN! Padahal kata Arcane Brilliance di wow.com (click here):

Introduction
Arcane, bukan elemen api dan bukan pula es. Keistimewaannya adalah SINGLE TARGET PURE DPS.
Arcane Pros and Cons
(+) Damage ++
(+) Rotasi Mudah
(+) Hit Cap Mudah
(+) Mendongkrak DPS yang lain dengan Arcane Empowerment, Slow juga bagus saat TM-an
(+) Missile Barrage FTW
(+) Bagus untuk mobile fight
(+) Arcane Missile enak dilihat, suatu lecutan psikologis tersendiri
(-) Terlalu kondisional (Missile Barrage, Arcane Concentration) yang berakibat thdp efisiensi mana
(-) DPS sulit stabil, terutama long-term-fight.
(-) Kurangnya AoE damage
(-) Arcane Missile dipengaruhi latency server dan latency kita (CMIIW)
Talent Discussion
Arcane Talent Type 1 - AoE Boss Encounter Speciality
Arcane Stability (3) - Kenapa cuma 3, bukan 4 ato 5, karena 3 aja itu udah cukup, 1-2 point dispent lagi ke ini talent cuma buang2 doang.. blom lagi kalo ada cover dari Power Word: Shield.
Magic Absorbtion (0) - Biar titelnya buat encounter AoE, tapi sulit utk full resist spell suatu boss, jadi gw rasa kurang worth ngoper ke ini talent.
Magic Attunement (1) - 1 poin lagi bisa diambil dari Arcane Focus kalo hit dah cap. Kalo hit cuma 13%, mending diisi 1 aja, range bisa kita kejer pake blink kok.
Incanter's Absorbtion (1) - Efeknya baru, di patch 3.3.x menjadi Fire Ward, Frost Ward, Ice Barrier dan Mana Shield jadi ngasih SPower, kalo patch kmaren cm mana shield doang. Ini benefit bgt buat lwn kyk Jaraxxus ama Anubarak yang spellnya Fire dan Frost.
Slow (1) - Bisa mengkontrol TM ketika TM-an, blom pernah ya diselamatin ama Slow ketika TM-an? sementara raid grup dah wipe, gw ngekit sendiri pake slow sambil barrage2 dibantu 1 healer.. lol
Arcane Mage Type 2 - DPS Focus
Student of the Mind (1) - Kurang worth ambil banyak-banyak, since spirit cuma nambahin crit doang, kalo nambahin spellpower kayak priest punya boleh deh. 4% - 7% - 10%, nambah konstan ke talent berikut cuma 3%, beda 1% ama yang pertama.
Prismatic Cloak (1) - -1 second fade Invisibility bisa menguntungkan apabila burst kita pas awal2 mengancam threat. Apalagi cast range kita makin jauh karena Magic Attunement diambil 2.
Mobile Talents
Arcane Focus - Ini talent bisa dimobile-in kalo merasa hit rating anda sudah cukup.

Arcane Stability - Kalo lawan boss yang bukan AoE damage, kurang preferable talent ini.

Gemming
Selain yang bonus socketnya Spellpower, tabrak +23 spellpower. Tapi kalo bonus socket spellpower, +12 SP 10 spirit jg jd.
Stats yang perlu dikejar..
- Spell hit (wajib udah cap, plg ngga 13/14%, 3-4%nya dari talent aja)
- Spellpower
- Spell haste (tidak perlu dijelaskan)
- Spell crit (salah satu keistimewaan arcane dari critnya yang bikin mata seger)
Stats yang kurang perlu dikejar
- Spirit (no gemming spirit kecuali ngejer socket bonus)
- Mp5 (tidak perlu dijelaskan)
Rotasi Ability
1. Arcane Blast 3-4x
2. Jika M. Barrage Trigger, lepaskan arcane missile saat itu juga. Jika tidak, lanjut ke 3, ato balik lagi ke 1 dengan catatan, fight sudah mau berakhir dan tidak worth menyimpan mana banyak-banyak ketika fight sudah selesai.
3. Lepaskan Arcane Barrage, dalam rangka menghilangkan debuff Arcane Blast. Damage arcane barrage juga ga boleh diremehin, up to 8k crit dgn stack 1-2 AB.
4. Kembali ke 1
Rotasi Ability Ber-CD Arcane Power, Icy Vein, MI, Trinket - Jika bukan Engineering, Ignore kata "Hyperspeed Accel dst." - Jika Trinket 2 2nya Equip Non-use, Ignore kata "Trinket dst."
1. Jika profesi Engineering, mulailah fight dengan AB 1-2x, lalu Hyperspeed Accel. + Presence of Mind. Jika tidak Engineering, simpen PoM untuk melepas Arcane Missile w/ Missile Barrage, supaya dapet Arcane Potency yang mengakibatkan crit chance tiap misil lebih gede.
2. Setelah trinket kelar share CD sama Hyperspeed Accel, pake Macro Arcane Power, Icy Vein, Mirror Image, sama Trinket (apabila trinket versi use) pada saat yang bersamaan, mulailah burst total, DPS arcane keangkat disini.
3. Ketika Hyperspeed Accel. kelar muter, setiap kali kelar muter, langsung pake aj. Tidak ada worthnya disimpen-simpen.
4. Ketika Arcane Power kelar muter, sementara Trinket, MI sama Icy Veins masih muter, pake aja Arcane Power. Ntar pas Arcane Power kelar muter, pada saat yang bersamaan MI, Icy Veins dah siap.
5. Jangan pake Trinket kecuali Heroism/Macro Combo AP, IV, MI lagi nyala, kecuali jika fight sudah akan berakhir.
6. Cast Evocation diakhir detik Icy Vein ato ketika Heroism, kira2 2 detik sebelom efeknya abis, supaya hastenya membuat Evocation berjalan cepat dan tidak membuang2 waktu sehingga DPS tetap stabil.
Note: Jangan lupa Iceblock jika ad debuff yang kiranya mengancam nyawa/DPS Anda (Touch of Jaraxxus, Incinerating Flesh (-50% dmg done), dan sebagainya).
