Bring Me the Horizon dimulai tahun 2004. [6] [7]
Band ini awalnya masuk ke Thirty Days of Night Records dan merupakan band pertama yang menandatangani kontrak dengan label tersebut.
Mereka merilis debut album Count Your Blessings pada bulan Oktober 2006 di Inggris dan pada bulan Agustus 2007 di Amerika Serikat .
Bring Me the Horizon studio rekaman album kedua mereka Suicide Season di Swedia dengan Fredrik Nordström . Album ini dirilis pada bulan September 2008.
Band ini memulai tur utama pertama mereka di AS , serta muncul pada tahun 2008 Warped Tour . Bring Me the Horizon juga bergabung Mindless Self Indulgence , In Case of Fire , Black Tide dan Dir en grey di Kerrang! dan tiada henti 2009 tur di Inggris. Mereka juga bergabung Thursday, Cancer Bats, Four Year Strong dan Pierce the Veil di Taste of Chaos 2009 Amerika Utara tur.
Pada November 2009 Bring Me the Horizon merilis versi remix dari Suicide Season , berjudul Suicide Season: Cut Up! . Musisi dan produser ditampilkan di album termasuk Ben Weinman dari The Dillinger Escape Plan , Sonny Moore , L'Amour La Morgue ( Ian Watkins dari Lostprophets ), Utah Saints dan Shawn Crahan dari Slipknot .
Pada bulan Maret 2009, gitaris Curtis Ward keluar dari band, ia digantikan oleh gitaris Australia Jona Weinhofen .
ketiga album band debut di nomor 17 di Billboard 200 di Amerika Serikat , nomor 13 di UK Album Chart , dan nomor 1 di Chart Album Australia ] , yang UK Rock Chart dan di Chart Indie Inggris . Meskipun mencapai nomor 1 di Australia, album penjualan dari 3.600 mereka mendapat ke sana, adalah yang terendah dalam sejarah tangga lagu ARIA.

Nottingham insiden
Ketika tur di Inggris tuduhan telah dibuat terhadap vokalis Oliver Sykes bahwa ia kencing atas dan kemudian menyerang seorang penggemar wanita setelah pertunjukan di Nottingham Rock City ketika ia diduga menolak keinginan seksualnya. Sykes kemudian dituduh dengan buang air kecil pada fans, tetapi tidak dengan serangan fisik. Online music zine Drowned Dalam Sound mengklaim bahwa Bring Me The Horizon dilarang dari Nottingham Rock City . Namun band label Visible Noise membantah rumor tersebut dan band kemudian memainkan Nottingham Rock City pada tanggal 1 Desember 2007.
Pada tanggal 13 April, Sykes muncul di Nottingham Magistrates Court atas tuduhan penyerangan umum terkait insiden dugaan, yang ia mengaku tidak bersalah. Kasus ini ditunda sampai awal Mei. Pada tanggal 3 Mei 2007 Sykes dihadiri Nottingham Magistrates pengadilan untuk kedua kalinya dan dipastikan tidak bersalah permintaannya. Kasus ini ditunda lagi sampai 17 September. Karena kurangnya bukti, semua tuduhan terhadap Sykes dibatalkan.

Bring Me The Horizon, Hujatan dan Pujian

Band asla UK yang beranggotakan 5 anak muda yaitu Matt Nicholls (drums), Lee Malia (gutars), Curtis Ward (guitars), Matt Kean (bass), dan Oliver Sykes (vokal). Album mereka yang bertitle “Count your blessing” rupanya cukup sukses dan berhasil mengambil hati para pecinta musik metal. Ada fans tapi tentu saja ada juga yang kontra. mereka yang kontra kebanyakan mempermasalahkan tentang gaya fashion core yang sangat dekat dengan image band ini. Entah kenapa image fashion core melekat pada Bring Me The Horizon (BMTH), apa karna mereka memiliki tampang yang good looking ? dan banyak yang bilang kalo mereka jual tampang.

Kalo dilihat dari penampilan memang personil BMTH sangat good looking alias memiliki tampang yang keren-keren. mereka yang menghujat mengatakan kalo mereka band yang suka dandan. masa iya begitu ? kalo tampang mereka udah ganteng-ganteng dari sananya, masa mau disalahkan gara-gara memainkan musik metal dengan tampang seperti itu? Itu penilaian yang objektif atau subjektif ?

Selain tampang, mereka pun dihujat gara-gara penampilan mereka yang serba ketat seperti band emo. celana ketat, dan serba fashionable. Coba liat deh band As I Lay Dying dulunya seperti apa ?

Lagipula dalam scene musik memang sarat dengan fashion dan trend. tapi jangan pula hanya dari tampilannya saja. coba dengarkan musik mereka. sangat menarik dan cukup matang. Jadi buat apa kita mempersoalkan soal dandanan segala. Buat apa kita saling menghujat ? padahal kita masih dalam satu genre yang sama. bukankah harusnya saling mengsuport ?
