itu karena file executable (wow.exe) nya corrupt atau terinfeksi virus/trojan.
Blizzard updater ngecek versi, file size, ama checksum dari file asli sebelum di patch atau di update. apabila verifikasi gagal karena sesuatu dan lain hal, akan muncul warning sign dan proses update akan dibatalkan (abort).
kemungkinan lain, path ke installer wow ngga sesuai dgn yg tercatat di registry windows, jadi Blizzard Updater ngga nemu file wow.exe nya.. << biasanya terjadi kalo World of Warcraft client nya dicopy mentah dari komputer lain (atau dari warnet/gamenet), bukan melalui proses instalasi (Blizzard Setup/Installer).
coba hard disk dari komputer nya di scan dgn program2 anti virus (kalau sistem windows dari komputer itu udah terinfeksi virus, percuma juga di install anti virus terus di scan dari komputer itu sendiri, paling baik cabut hard disk nya trus scan di komputer lain yang bersih). ada sih alternatif tanpa harus bongkar2 komputer, booting via cd/dvdrom pake LiveCD Linux atau sejenisnya, terus scan dgn antivirus (cuma masalahnya aq ga tau antivirus apa yg jalan di linux.. soalnya selama ini pake linux ga pernah denger linux ada yg bikin virusnya.. hehehe..).
setelah di scan dan dibersihkan dari virus, jalankan program Blizzard Repair Utility (doble klik file Repair.exe) di dalam folder instalasi WoW. Setelah selesai, baru coba update patch nya lagi.
