Hmm . .

I've read this thread . . .

I've learned English from Eloquence , my private teacher ... Many people in Indonesia are shy to speak English because they are scared and worry about their pronounce and their spelling..

They scared with their pronounce and get laughed by other persons (usually friends) ...

I learn from games, i put my dictionary in front of me and open it when i found difficult words in the game..

basically i have been learning english since (about) 4 y.o
but besides, i also like to listen to music and watch west movies / dramas.
those ways are really helpful..

for comics in indonesia there is no english comic

except u read itu at internet...

actually i have no secret way to improve my english. i think, language is not something u need to learn, but something u need to practice.
the more u practice, the more u mastered that language . so far , i practice my english through chatting and comment any english threads like this.

umm, and listening skills, perhaps watching movies is the best. try it !

Well... I used different method of learning when i first learned English
Vocabulary : Watching Movies, Playing Games, Reading Books, Listening to musics
Reading : Well... as the topic implies i learned it by reading quite a few books (Novels like harry potter etc)
Listening : Listening to musics and try to write down the lyrics, Watching movies without subtitles
Grammar : For this topic I came to learn it at school, and I'm still learning by now... It's really hard for me to apply what I've learned without any practice...

Soooo, please forgive my bad grammar because I'm not good at it =P

and i have interest in english more than any other foreign languange...

all of you could really learn english vocabulary from movies, games, (these are the easiest method i suppose)
but grammar, this is the tricky one...

i learn english from game...when i was in junior high school, every day i play game n awalys brought my english dictionary n opened it up to find what the mean of the words in the game...
so i learn very much from that.

I also learn from playing video games, perhaps "Sesame Street" also helps hehehe. I found a lot of people learn English from playing games and most often they are better than the one learning English by taking courses.

and you MUST watch out how you spell it, or not to miss write it like this guy did from reading over and over.

1st I learn many vocab - grammar on english subtitle, because I like watch movie/drama.
I always seek for the english one not the Indo subs..

2nd I learn to think use english, If there's something I don't know I will search that word immediatly on dictionary

3rd I always try to guest lyric from english song, after that I will check what wrong and learn it..
