I need to play on an Indonesian server because I don't have a legit copy of the game. Also, I am living in Jakarta and it is a good way for me to practice my Bahasa Indonesia.
Ok, my question is this. When I try to connect it says it can not validate the version. I have version 1.2c
Here is what you need to do:
1. It's Indogamers Private Server I presume.
2. You need to down grade your version of Warcraft III to 1.20a (cracked version).
3. Download Warcraft III Loader, copy to your Warcraft III folder.
4. Download BattleNet Gateway Editor.
5. Run BattleNet Gateway Editor, add Indogamers private server to the list, (see pic.)

There are 2 kind of servers at Indogamers,
first server known as Indogamers Junior (many leaver - easy to register),
second server known as Indogamers Pro (few leaver but (very) hard to register).
In BattleNet Gateway Editor window, click Add a server at Server menu...
Fill Server name field with "Indogamers Junior"
Fill Host name field with: 203.77.212.20
Fill Timezone with: 7
Add a server once more for Indogamers Pro with Host name: 203.77.212.19
6. Register your ID.
7. Run Warcraft III Loader to start.
8. Login with you registered ID.
PS: you can buy merchandise (a hat) to get an Indogamers Pro's ID.

Downgrade to 1.20:
You must unintall your game first, reinstall the game, don't do anything yet, apply patch, copy cracked/noCD executable to the game folder, complete. Hopefully.
Or alternately, you can search a ready to use Cracked BattleNet Warcraft CD available at Warez House (Toko CD Bajakan :D) at many Mall in Jakarta.

I read on a forum that I can just download and replace the DLL's, know anywhere I can get the DLL's?

What I mean is my version of warcraft comes at 1.20c, I can't patch it to 1.20a.

Try this,
1. Go to tedirachmadi.com
2. Click "Download" at index menu
3. Download "BlizzReseter"
4. It will reset ur wc3 version into v1.00, just install patch v1.20a and don't forget to ***** it
5. Set the IP Address, and
6. Play! =D
or come and visit us . And find out more private games like : Mu Online, World of warcraft, Lineage chronicle 4, Counter strikes online, Quake 4.

Yes, I am playing warcraft at home. I play in the mornings at a warnet, which is how I found out about dota. I like it so I'd like to play on indogamers.

You must have illegal copy of the game to play at indogamers, :p bummer! ironic isn't it? The solution is convert it to illegal one!
About creating account at Indogamers, well, the easiest way is to buy an inexpensive merchandise from Indogamers, believe me you don't want to take another way.

The easiest way for to do this is to COPY an already cracked Warcraft 1.20a with PvPGN from your friend.
Or if you want to do it by yourself, try looking for some guide here. If i remember correctly, there is a thread here gives you How To Do for everything.

a. Register a new id here at indogamers forum (you already have: Dogsi)
b. Send your personal data and your scanned identity card file to [email protected]
Write your personal data as follows :
1. Name
2. Birthdate
3. Address
4. Phone
5. Job
6. Email
7. ID at Forum indogamers
8. Scanned identity card file (Attachment)
And waits until Admin send a reply or PM you.

Well, just good luck for playing DotA. I also struggle for a week until i can play DotA (finally). Also remember to read rules for playing DotA at Indogamers. When at US server, there are so many Leavers and Stayer, here at Indogamers, you can get banned if you do that
