The Sendi Mutiara Multimedia Grand National DotA Tournament 2009 (SGNDT 09’), pretentiously the most prestigious DotA competition in the world is here on its fourth successive year bringing with it an even more impressive army of Dotarians into the fray. The qualifying-round for SGNDT ’09 kicks-off this 30th May 2009 and will consecutively run through 10 states in Malaysia in search for the best DotA teams to represent their country. Only those that earned a place in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th from each state-qualifier can proceed to the Grand Final hosted in the capital city of Malaysia – Kuala Lumpur, where a lucrative total cash prize of RM135, 000 and international contenders await the worthy champions.

SMM Grand National DotA Tournament 2009: State-Qualifiers
Date: Begins this 30th May

Game: Warcraft III: Defense of the Ancients (DotA)

Venue: Malaysia

Grand Final Prizes

Champion: RM 42,000 Cash ($11,665) + Trophy + sponsors product

1st Runner Up: RM 20,000 Cash ($5,555)+ Trophy + sponsors product

2nd Runner Up: RM 13,000 Cash ($3,609) + Trophy + sponsors product

3rd Runner Up: RM 8,000 Cash ($2,221)+ sponsors product

5th place: RM 2,000 Cash + sponsors product

6th place: RM 1,500 Cash + sponsors product

7th place: RM 1,300 Cash + sponsors product

8th place: RM 1,100 Cash + sponsors product

Registration for International Participants:

A registration process will be conducted for international participants (Europe, U.S, and Asia) who are interested in joining SGNDT 09’. International participants will automatically gain a slot into the SGNDT 09’ Grand Finals. No registration fees will be required. Terms & Conditions apply.

How to apply to join the SGNDT?

Registration for SGNDT 09’ starts on the 23rd of May. The process is simple and can be completed online. Below are the following steps:

Head over to www.smm.net.my
Click “Register my team”
Fill in your complete team and member details.
A confirmation email will be sent to your mail-box within 3 working days. Included will be tournament details, venue address, time, and number to contact.
Print a copy of the document and submit it on the tournament day itself.
A payment of RM 150 is to be made directly on the day of the event. Kindly refer to the state scheduling date for the exact day.
