How to put custom themes in flash0 (Guide)
I have noticed alot of people asking how to install the themes on Custom firmware:
Flashing Flash0 has some small risks. I take no responsibilities for your own misstakes!
If the background is wider then 350 pixels it will make your theme appear bugged. Resize it to 350x198 (if the background is 480x272).
To resize the background use a program like Photoshop (or a free program), set image width to 350 pixels and make sure the program constrain the proportions.
OR make a background 460x261 save as PNG and rename to 01-12.bmp (as rob1968 wanted to point out.)
Themes working on 3.03OE will NOT work on 3.10OE, 3.30OE or 3.40OE.
A smart thing to do before you start is take a look at cr0bar's thread on how to make more room in flash0: http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=61385 Only remove stuff you will not use (camera, gps, network update, japan/korean language etc.) (BUT MAKE A BACKUP FIRST!!!)
How to put themes on your PSP:
First of all you need a PSP running the Firmware 3.03OE, 3.10OE 3.30 OE or 3.40 OE
1: Turn off PSP (hold off buttoon for 5-10 sec)
2: Turn back on while holding the R button
3: You have now entered the Recovery menu, go to advanced > Toggle USB (flash0)
4: NOW VERY IMPORTANT MAKE A COMPLETE BACKUP OF FLASH 0!!
5: Save the backup of the FLASH 0 somewhere on your computer (DON'T DELETE IT)
6: To avoid getting the error "out of diskspace", check out cr0bar's thread on freeing up space in flash0. http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=61385 if you have done it before simply continue to the next step.
7: Now swap the files found in the Theme folders with files existing in X:VSH\Resources\ and x:\Font\ (.RCO go in Resources, ltn0.pgf goes in FONT)
8: Press Back on the PSP recovery menu
9: Press Exit on the PSP recovery menu
10: If your PSP boots with a error, first try to go to theme menu: change to another color (if this don't work: read thetroubleshootingg below. then return to step 1 if nothing work). if it don't boot at all. Return to Step 1 and do over again with the backup of Flash0..
Recovering:
Your PSP refuse to start (Hold power off for 10 sec, turn back on while holding R), When in recovery menu, go to Advanced > Toggle Flash0.
Now copy the complete backup over to flash0 (and click yes to overwrite the files with same name).
The flash0 backup is to large:
Don't worry you just need to reflash the custom firmware using the recovery menu and an easy installer. Get and run the 3.xxoe easy installer:
Go into x:\psp\game and delete the oeflasher% folder and rename the oeflasher folder to RECOVERY and then in recovery mode, use the function: 'run program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP your PSP will now start the Easy flasher and get you back to the firmware you were on.

3.10OE-A easy installer: http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1049

Troubleshooting:
Icons shows up as white squares: Your probably running out of room in flash0. free up some space and it should show up correct. [Use cr0bar's great guide "How to free space on flash0 easily." : http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=61385 do NOT do this without having a backup, and knowing what your doing.]
The background is white and not showing: this means you need to go to Settings > Theme settings > Theme and select another color. This should fix the problem in 90% of the cases.
Your PSP is from Japan: Go in recovery menu and set fake region to American or European.
What the RCO files contains:
system_plugin_fg.rco = battery, loading circle, mute icon
impose_plugin.rco = error messages, battery empty icon, volume bar, equalizer icons
topmenu_plugin.rco = menu icons, menu names
system_plugin.rco = Default game/music/video icons, arrows, slider bars, shadows
01-12.bmp = monthly background (01 = january)
ltn0.pgf = Font style
How to rename icons on menu:
If your using a plugin that changes the function of "Network update" on the XMB (menu) to a reboot/shutdown button insted. why not make it say Reboot too, all you need is the RCO editor (will add a link later, can be found in owfx's themepack). and a topmenu_plugin.rco.
Start the RCO editor
1: open the topmenu_plugin.rco in the editor
2: Click on the Text Data tab
3: Click on "search for text": write in what the menu is called (Network update in my case) and press OK.
4: Change "Network update" with "Reboot".
5: Click on "change"
6: Exit the RCO editor and flash the topmenu_plugin.rco to the PSP.
Hope this help

theme merupakan suatu set dari icon ,font, background, wave ,bootsound ,dll
Klo kamu pake custom firmware ,mesti ngeflash kaya diatas (gw ga pernah coba)
Klo pake devhook ,tinggal ganti file .RCO di folder dh>x.xx(tergantung firmware kamu)>F0>vsh>resources
