So.... here's some of my own advice to train our instinct of writing...

I've tried this method and it works on me, but i never told anyone to try it though ~_~"

Let's just imagine some crazy things or life that you can't obtain in this world.... While imaginating, don't think so much about the background sets etc, just write what you want to write until you find a dead end...
After finding a dead end, usually i'll think something crazy again to continue the story
But if it's too hard to find, i'll find another crazy idea (like my dreams etc), then started writing again XD
Try this training frequently.... Eventually you'll find yourself to mind about the background sets, the profile of person you're imaginated etc.... It's like a magic that's casted on your brain!

I've tried this method lots of times, and i'm satisfied XD

Writing can be fun if you enjoy it!
Then, how to enjoy it?
You can try to write about anything you like
ex: I'm a manga enthusiast, so I'd write about how I've fallen in love with them, or maybe about what manga I've been reading recently
I'm quite sure that if you write about what you like it'll be much easier! you'll find the words which expresses your feelings easily, or else you can express that with some other words

To be an author, it requires you to be very imaginative.
And don't forget the detail. Detail is everything.
But don't go describing thing cheaply in the story.
Make the story flows, with the opening, climax, anti climax, and ending, and put all those detail along with the flow.
Details makes people who read it imagining themselves in the situation and drowned themselves with the atmosphere of the story.

Describe about the main character's feeling
Describe about the coldness of the room
Describe about the darkness level of the room
Describe about the smell of perfume that the main character's smell
Describe about the fast heartbeat the main character's having caused by the pretty girl/boy she/he met
Describe about the pain when the bullet pierces through the chest and makes his breath faster
Describe about the shivers that runs through his spine when he saw the dead body
Describe everything

Every writer has their own style, word, uniqueness, and way of telling story.
I suggest you read many novels and steal their techniques.
