Cool Electric Text Effect
Learn how to create electric Text Effect by following this step-by-step tutorial. In this tutorial we will use Pen, Brush, Direction Selection tools and other effects.
1. Open a new document in Photoshop of any size (here I use 600 / 400 px)and fill with Black background. Now press Ctrl + D, then go to Filter menu and apply Cloud sub-option from Render option.

2. Again go to Filter menu and this time select Difference Clouds sub-option from Render option. Use the difference clouds filter to create wild backgrounds.

3. Now its time to color, press Ctrl + U and apply the settings as shown below (Check the Preview check box. This will show you your adjustments) :

4. The Pen Tool is one of the most enduring of Photoshop’s tool set. Select the Pen tool and create text (any text you want) as shown below (you can use Text tool):

5. Right-click on any where on the document and select Make Selection then apply the setting as shown below:

6. Then press Ctrl + J and name it as Text layer. Select the Select menu and select Modify >> Expand and apply the setting as shown below:

7. Now create a new layer and in the Edit menu select Stroke (This effect adds the appearance of a stroke to the edge of a layer’s contents.), in the popup window apply the options as shown below:

8. Now Double-click the layer and apply the Outer Glow layer style as shown below:

9. Then Ctrl + Click the Text layer, go to Channel palette and fill the selection with White color.

10. Then press Ctrl + D and again press Ctrl + L. Select Filter >> Gaussian Blur and apply the setting as shown below:

11. Level has the power to adjust brightness, contrast, and tonal range by specifying the location of complete black, complete white, and midtones in a histogram. To apply level press Ctrl + L and choose the options as shown below:

12. When ever you create a layer in channel Photoshop automatically save the selection. Now to load the selection go to Layer palette and Select >> Load Selection, in the load selection popup menu apply the setting as shown below:

13. Add Stoke with the same color and options you apply ealier (Step-7). Set the Fill = 0%, now Double-click the layer and apply the Outer Glow layer style as shown below:

14. On a new layer above the cloud layer select the Brush tool with White color apply as shown. Now press Shift + Ctrl + Up Arrow key for about 30 to 40 times (as for your requirements).

15. Press Ctrl + T, then select Transfer and Wrap mod apply as shown (1st image). Repeat the steps on a new layer with other direction.

16. Now set the Blending Mode of both layer to Overlay. Select Liquify from Filter menu and apply the settings as shown below:

17. Now its time to create lightning, press Ctrl + D then go to Filter menu and apply Cloud sub-option from Render option. Again go to same menu and this time select Difference Clouds sub-option from Render option.

18. Now press Ctrl + I and then Ctrl + L and apply the setting as shown below and set the Blending Mode to Overlay:

19. Now we’re very close to being finished. Select soft (size=80 px) Eraser tool and set the Opacity = 45%, apply around the black color.

20. Press Ctrl + L and apply the options as shown below:

21. Add your company logo or text. Here’s the finished picture.
