    Makoto was born in Kazune city, but was forced to move away with his sister Hinata and Minamo’s family after his father’s death. As children, the three children played together. When his family moves for the second time, he entrusted to Minamo a harmonica. The two pinky-swore to meet again and marry some day.

    The game begins four years later. Makoto and Hinata are returning to Kazume via train and enroll at High School where he is reunited with Minamo. He learns that many people of the city have special powers which only they can do. For example, Hinata can jump higher than most 2-story buildings, Minamo can control the wind, Nozomi can create shockwaves with edged weapons, and Wakaba can cure wounds and slow down diseases. The town is also home to a long series of murders and mysterious disappearances.

    When Minamo’s father Professor Akihito tries to research the city’s mysteries to understand what caused these powers to develop, a chain of events begin and in the game it is the player’s goal to help Makoto uncover these mysteries while forging bonds with one of the five girls.

    1. Burn Or Mount With Daemon Tools.
    2. Install The Game "The install will be in japanese but the patch included will convert the game to the full english translation".
    3. Run the included Wind: A Breath of Heart Dvd Patch and make sure you tick only one of the two choices. Tick either 18+ or all ages for which gaming experience you perfer but do not tick both.
    4. Play The Game.

    The system requirements for the patched game are significantly higher than the Japanese version due to the use of compressed video, but any new computer purchased within the last seven years should be able to handle the load.

    Processor: 800 MHz
    Memory: 128 MB (except Windows Vista - see below)
    Hard drive: 1.5 GB when installed (see below for the needed free space)
    Video: 800x600x32 with DirectX 8.1b
    Operating system: Windows 2000 or XP or Server 2003 or Vista
    Codec:ffdshow-alpha MPEG4 decoder (recommended) or the latest XviD codec
    Other: DVD-ROM drive, 16-bit stereo, mouse with a mouse wheel,Daemon Tools

    The patched game is not compatible with all versions of Windows 98 and Windows ME, including 98 and ME. This should not affect too many people.

    Also, the patch will not work on Windows emulators such as WINE.

    Windows Vista requires at least 512 MB of memory. Therefore, that is the minimum memory requirement if you wish to run Wind on that operating system.

    also I compressed the game before splitting it (100 mb x 17 parts)...when you extract all the files you will get another compressed file about 1.7 Gigabytes...You will need to extract it again to get the the true and actual size(the dvd iso/image)about 3 Gigabytes....sorry for the inconvenience...

    1.Download all parts and extract.

    2.Extract again.

    3.Make sure your computer is on Japanese locale although it is not required(you can still install the game without switching to japanese locale btw) but switch to the Japanese locale just to be safe.

    4.Mount the iso with daemon tools/alchohol 120%.

    5.Autoplay should automatically fire up the installer. If not, access your disk image/virtual drive and run SETUP launcher(the computer icon).

    6.Navigate the Japanese installation program.
    Once the dust settles, you should be staring at this popup:
    It's your typical introduction screen. Make sure no other copies of Wind are running (e.g. the demo) and click on the N button (the other button is to quit).

    You should be intelligent enough to figure out what this is. The R button will allow you to change the installation folder. If you do, you may see a prompt box to confirm creation of a new folder (Y for yes). Click on the N button to continue.

    This popup allows you to name the folder which will appear in the Start menu. However, the patch will automatically rename this folder, so leave it as WindRP. If you do not want a Start menu folder, do not worry, as the patch will give you the option to remove it. Click on the N button to begin the file copying.

    Once the file copying is complete, you will see this screen. Click on the only button available to exit the installer.

    7. Run the patch.
    You do not need to update your copy of Wind to the latest Japanese version, so simply run the patch without batting an eye. It will conduct a thorough check of your system to see if your computer is up to specifications. Any error messages you may encounter are explained in detail, so the patching process should be painless.

    Enjoy the game!

    *If you wish to uninstall Wind, the patch replaces the Japanese uninstaller with an English equivalent.Also the patch has 3 options:the english patch;revert back to original(japanese);and lastly an all-age version patch!!!*
