Report Skirmish di Hutan Wanagama Wonosari Yogyakarta:17 Desember 2006
status: Mission Accomplished
Capek, seru, menyenangkan, dan membuat ketagihan. Beberapa kata itu yg bisa saya bayangkan setelah mengikuti skirmish hari ini. Hutan Wanagama sangat luas, map area yg dipakai skirmish pun sangat luas. Bahkan beberapa diantara teman kami nyaris sampai rumah lagi akibat flank terlalu jauh (hiperbola ). Perjalanan dari kota Jogja kurang lebih 1 jam, sebelumnya sarapan di rumah makan padang, bikin ngantuk karena kenyang . Sesampai di lokasi, kemudian gear up serta set rifle masing2 dan dibagi 2 team. Aku dengan MP5 merek well dan Sios dengan Ak47 merek Classicc Armynya. Game pertama TE ( total Elimination). Team B terdesak, dan kebetulan saya berada di team A. Akan tetapi team kami tertahan dengan hujan BB dari minimi merek STARS, dimana kapasitas magazine 2500 bb. (serem bok). Ketika kami saling bertatap muka, tanpa disadari kami kena flank dari belakang. 3 prajurit gugur, termasuk saya. Ketika hendak kembali ke safety point saya sempat melihat siapa gerangan yg berhasil melumpuhkan 3 orang,..... dan ternyata........

3 orang yg berniat flank dari arah lain, karena tidak menemukan jalan alias tersesat akhirnya memutuskan kembali ke posisi semula. Tanpa disadari mereka bertemu kami yg tidak laen adalah satu team. Karena saat itu tidak ada tanda pengenal semacam pita dilengan ( lupa bawa), insiden tsb terjadi. Begitulah report misi hari ini yg sangat menyenangkan sekaligus melelahkan. fiuhh......

Yup aku maen di hutan, lebat banget hutannya banyak semak2. Sehingga bahkan bisa silent hit. Tp emang rifle yg barelnya makin panjang memang enak untuk woodland. Klo MP5 harus benar2 dekat baru hit (20 mtran baru efectif). BB pake yg 0.2 gr ga berbelok kok. KLo bb belok disamping karena factor angin, bisa juga karet hop upnya miring, aku jg punya masalah yg sama tp skr udah ganti karet hop up marui

tembakan menceng kanan atau kiri bisa diakibatkan krn:

1.pemasangan barel yg ga fix, atau mereng kanan atau kiri.
2. pemasagan karet hop up yg muter agak ke kaanan atau kiri.
Setau saya sih itu aja.
karet hop up marui 150rban. Gearbox ga ada hubungan ama akurasi, gerbox cuma berhubungan dengan power / fps.

@Sios klo kata gua sih klo mau ganti jgn tanggung-tanggung....semua aja dari gearbox,karet,per,dll sampe batre juga harus mendukung...emang sih rada mahal cuma gak akan nyesel luh..klo lu ganti setengah2 emang rada murah tapi perangkat laen bisa jebol tuh banyak anak2 bandung pada pahe alias paket hemat tapi gak tahan lama bro,btw paling enak di upgrade&bandel denger-denger Ak47 ya bro???

TIPS :
Untuk menghindari sengatan serangga atau gigitan reptil beracun, selalu kenakan sepatu lars / boot serta pakaian (baju dan celana ) panjang. Ada baiknya sarung tangan juga dipakai. Karet pengikat ujung celana juga sebaiknya dipakai, beli di toko - toko / koperasi penjual perlengkapan militer. Pada bagian - bagian tubuh yang terbuka, oleskan Insect Repellent (Sofell, Autan, Lavenda, dsb.).
Jika tersengat kalajengking, cuci luka dengan alkohol 70% lalu kompres dengan cuka. Jika sengatnya nampak tertinggal di kulit, sayat sedikit kulit yang terkena sengatan dengan pisau bedah steril, lalu angkat sengatnya dengan pinset atau peniti/jarum. Untuk sengatan lebah perlakuan yang sama bisa diterapkan. Umumnya sengatan kalajengking dan lebah tidak mematikan dan reaksinya akan hilang dalam 2 jam, namun akan jadi fatal pada orang - orang yang alergi terhadap racun lebah atau kalajengking karena akan terjadi shock anafilactic yang dapat berakibat kelumpuhan organ pernapasan dan mengakibatkan pingsan atau sampai meninggal. Di Amerika dalam setahun lebih dari 1000 orang meninggal akibat sengatan lebah, lebih tinggi dari prevalensi gigitan ular.

GIGITAN ULAR :
Jika digigit ular, segera pasang torniket di tulang tunggal yang berada antara luka dan jantung. Misal : di kaki, pasang torniket di paha. Kalau di tangan, pasang torniket di lengan atas. Jangan lupa kendorkan torniket selama 10 - 15 detik setiap 10 menit. Torniket dapat dibuat dari alat yang ada disekitar lokasi, sangat mudah. Jika ada, balutkan pembalut elastis dengan tekanan kencang di atas luka gigitan. Tenangkan korban, karena rasa takut, panik dan khawatir akan meningkatkan kerja jantung sehingga darah akan bersirkulasi lebih cepat dan racun akan terbawa aliran darah lebih cepat menuju organ organ penting. Sebisa mungkin identifikasi jenis ular yang menggigit. Segera bawa korban ke rumah sakit terdekat. Tindakan bedah (Incission) hanya boleh dilakukan oleh orang yang terlatih (bagi yang tertarik belajar penanganan pertolongan pada gigitan hewan berbisa, saya dengan suka rela akan mengajarkan). Bisa ular dibagi dalam 2 kelompok besar yaitu Haemo Toxin (merusak dinding pembuluh darah dan mengandung zat anti koagulan sehingga darah akan keluar dari seluruh lubang yang ada ditubuh korban termasuk pori pori kulit) dan Neuro Toxin (melumpuhkan syaraf terutama di organ pernapasan sehingga korban kesulitan bernapas).

Introduction:
The news of this rifle first came from our friends from the west. Even though we are closer in proximity to HK or PRC, somehow the British got this rifle first. However, do take note that the rifle in itself is far from new. The Japanese company Maruzen came up with the type 96 after the APS-2 years ago to fill the void for an Arctic Warfare Police, as made by the ever so popular game, Counter Strike. The game featured a sniper rifle bar none which spewed wall-piercing bullets and made instant kills regardless of hit placement. I’d like to share a little factoid while I’m at it that the L96 featured in said game is in fact not an AWP even being labeled as such. The digitaly rendered rifle is actually an Arctic Warfare Magnum, distinctively given away with its olive green body and a large .338 Lapua Magnum extended magazine. The real Arctic Warfare Police actually looks more like the airsoft replica, of black to dark grey body and a flush magazine floor plate. The Warrior 1 is a copy of the Maruzen gun which is a replica of the AWP. Because I didn’t want to spend nearly three times the value of a Warrior 1 just to get a decent L96, I placed an order from my favorite gunrunner (Neslie aka NekNek) as soon as I had caught wind of its availability.

Out of the box:
The most intriguing part about this rifle is that it’s advertised as going from 430fps to 460fps without any modification whatsoever. Happy is the wannabe sniper with limited funds. The gun actually shoots excess of 500fps when brand new, but will eventually go through its break-in period, taming the rifle to an average 470fps, which is still 20fps more than my TM Steyr AUG which cost me… hmmm, how much? The stock itself is made of a relatively thin plastic however a lot of structural supports are implemented so the stock is indeed strong but hollow sounding when rapped. The seam line between the two halves can get very sharp at certain areas particularly on the trigger guard so one may consider shaving these off with a cutter or knife. Inside the stock are a few weights, a metal bipod mount, a metal sub-frame, and an assortment of screws to keep the two piece stock together. The cheek piece of the stock can be adjusted for height and the rubber butt pad in length. Sling mounts abound as there are 5; three just at the tip of the stock and two near the butt. My one and only gripe about the stock is that it does not have a recess for a mag-well or even a fake 5rd mag-plate. Its just a smooth surface making it obvious that the weapon is but an airsoft replica. However, there are plenty of people who have modified their own Maruzens to take fake magazines where the real steels should be; a likely project in the future.

The Following parts of the action are made of metal: receiver, outer barrel, bolt, cylinder, cylinder head, trigger, sear, bolt catch, safety, top rail. The plastic components are as follows: piston body, piston head, trigger assembly casing. Simple to say, the entire action of the weapon is ridiculously solid! The guns weight including scope and magazine was measured at 3.8kg. The entire barrel is screwed on the receiver with a grub screw to keep it in place and the rear end of the bolt is a big cube-chunk of metal secured with a long screw along the length of the bolt handle and kept from turning with a grub screw. I’m convinced that this is a very durable sniper platform as the bolt pull isn’t any heavier than, say, that of a DE M50. This means that the L96 is able to achieve ~500fps without sacrificing integrity as the power of the rifle is taken from its large/long cylinder volume.
Performance:
I don’t have a chrono so I can’t make precise readings. But using a poor mans chrono (after all, this is a poor mans L96) the rifle can penetrate the bottom-side of a soda can and can ***** its top center. This gives a rough estimate of 450~500fps, sweet! Using .2g bbs I tried to field test the weapon checking for accuracy and precision. Honestly, after firing off a few shots I thought that what I had was a lemon. I couldn’t even hit a man sized target 20m away. I tried using .25g bbs to compensate for high velocities only to have the same results: very, very poor. I proceeded to inspect the mechanisms commonly related to inaccuracy; the inner barrel was made of brass, its crown passable, nozzle meshing nicely with the hop chamber, perfectly working hop-up. Seeing as nothing was wrong, I decided that perhaps cleaning the barrel and chamber will do the trick. Inserting the cleaning rod with an affixed tissue revealed a large glop of black muck. It took me nearly two squares of tissues (good for at least 8 strips of cleaning material) just to purge the insides thoroughly. The effect of cleaning was dramatic as my grouping was reduced from no grouping to 5 hollow blocks at 25m. However, the flight pattern of the bbs was observed to be erratic due to the chosen ammunition weight. I’m sure that .28g~.3g bbs will dramatically reduce grouping to 1 hollow block at 25m. or when the spring of the rifle softens down to 470fps which is more manageable by .25bbs. Foreign discussions (Arnies Airsoft) arrive to A4 size groupings at 30m using .3g ammo and cleaner than clean barrels. I hadn’t time to formally zero my scope on it yet, however the area of impact is consistent so is the consistency of the hop-up adjustment. Once I get proper ammunition and have fired enough rounds to settle my own fps down will I make formal performance updates.

Conclusion:
As they say, only time will tell with regards to the worth of the gun with parts’ lifespan being a big deciding factor. But, as I’ve stated earlier, I stand with my conviction on its durability as the spring itself is not stiffer beyond my confidence goes as the power of the gun is drawn from sheer air volume. The DE M50 has an air volume of 84.4x22mm(OD) whereas the L96 measures 92.1x22mm(OD) with spring tension being but slightly stiffer. Although there is much potential for power upgrades as the cylinder is a screw-on assembly (as opposed to permanently stamped), I have little reason to make use of the rifle for sniping duty beyond its stock form and this is coming from an airsofter with a minimum of 2 years experience playing sniper roles. Summed up: THIS AM B3ST GUN!




Do note that this is my first time of being a sniper, so just imagine this gun in the hands of a pro... And we did measure it to make sure the distance is accurate...

From stock performance we can't even hit a 6inch x 6inch target consistently at 30 feet... But after getting the new barrel and changing the hop-up arm to V-hop... now this is a hell of a gun...
Most probably it was... But i decided to get a 6.01 to increase both power and accuracy... And after having it chronoed during megaball... it resulted at 520FPS at .2 ... not bad at all...

So far this is the best BASR that i've handled from china... We've got one of the longest barrels 500mm, the searbox and cylinder is a clone to the maruzen, and tight barrel so it'll reach 500+ fps
