DOTA: INTERVIEW WITH RASMUS 'MISERY-' BERTH
MiseRy-: "I always thought we were friends"
Despite recent success, Ravens yesterday came to the decision to rebuild the whole DotA team. To make room for the star players of the former MeetYourMakers DotA squad, not only the German moods had to leave, also the original member Rasmus 'MiseRy-' Berth was kicked from the team. MiseRy- talks with fragster about his feelings after the kick and is visibly irritated about the decision.
fragster.de: Ravens has had a lot of success lately, have there been any internal problems or came the kick suprisingly for you?
Rasmus 'MiseRy-' Berth: It was very surprising for me. I thought everyone was happy with the team at that point, since we had performed so well and beaten almost every team. But for an unknown reason Martin 'AngeL' Olsen was unhappy with something. I didn't get any information from either Alexander 'Smiske' Troensegaard, Miggel 'miGGel' Berg or AngeL why I couldn't be a part of the new Ravens.
It appears that these changes have been made pretty rapid. There have been rumours that Edvin 'KwoM' Börjesson has joined your team just a few hours before it was announced that ex-MYM would join your team. Why this sudden mess?
MiseRy-: Yeah, well the plan was, that we should go to DTS-Cup with KwoM because moods couldn't make it. Therefore we took in KwoM. I had no idea that they wanted to merge with the other Danes from MYM. I knew AngeL and Miggel 'miGGel' Berg had practised a lot with team Denmark lately, but I would never have thought they wanted to ruin our team which we had been working on for so long.
There was an April Fool's joke on www.roskilde-ravens.dk, where it was announced that ex-MYM would join the organization. Do you think the management was involved in the decision-making?
MiseRy-: I think it was a decision basically made by AngeL and miGGel and of course the ex-MYM players. Alexander 'Smiske' Troensegaard didn't really have a lot of choices in this case, he was more or less forced to agree on the merge due to a lot of pressure from the organization and the whole situation in general.
Do you look back in anger or are you rather happy about the experience you gained playing with this team?
MiseRy-: I'm really sad about this whole drama with this unneccessary merge. Mainly because I don't understand why, and I will probably never get to know why. I'm of course happy about the experience I've gained by playing with the guys. But it's just... I always thought we were friends that would treat each other with respect, but I was definitely wrong.
With ex-MYM Ravens signed some big names, but do you really think the new team will improve skillwise compared to the old one?
MiseRy-: I don't know how the new Ravens will work out, only the time will tell.
Tell us something about your future in DotA. Will you continue playing DotA competitively? Especially regarding the huge number of free agents in the Scandinavian area it should be possible to form a new team.
MiseRy-: Again, only the time will tell. I'm still not sure what's gonna happen with me. It is less than 24 hours ago, that I got the information about the situation in Ravens, so it's a bit early for me to make some huge predictions.
Will you be part of Team Denmark for the ENC, together with your old teammates?
MiseRy-: No, I think that's highly improbable, since I don't really feel welcome, after all this. But I guess that's up to the rest of the Team Denmark.
Thanks for this interview
