    Berlatar tahun 1985 dimana pahlawan super diakui keberadaannya. Dibawah kepemimpinan presiden Richard Nixon, ketegangan antara Amerika dan Uni Sovyet meninggi. Rorschach (Jackie Earle Haley) sedang menginvestigasi pembunuhan seorang mantan pahlawan super, The Comedian (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) serta mengetahui adanya rencana pembunuhan atas pahlawan-pahlawan super lainnya. Rorschach mencium konspirasi melibatkan dirinya serta rekan-rekan lainnya yang dapat mengubah sejarah.
