Hello everyone, as we all know, there have been a lot of issues with EG lately. Roster changes, team mates leaving, rumors, etc. Well, I'm here with Merlini and Demon, to set everything straight. They'll let us know what's going on with EG currently and what's going to happen in the next few weeks or so. So join me and let's welcome Merlini and Demon.

Hey wasup guys, thanks for taking some of your time for this interview, want to introduce yourselves?

Merlini: Hi I'm Ben Wu aka Merlini, EG's best asian player

Demon: Hi I'm Jimmy Ho, aka Demon. EG's scapegoat


So is this gossip about disbanning the team true?

Merlini: I dont believe so, we've had a little bit of trouble fielding 5 since mO/Fanat1c left and Hit0mi is inactive. We have no intensions in disbanning the team at the moment.

Demon: No, whoever made that rumor is an *****


So then whats going on with EG at the moment, other then mO/Fanat1c leaving?

Demon: This is an excellent oppurtunity for us to brush up on our roster. We felt that fanat1c and mo weren't up to par on the team and we were contemplating in replacing them anyways. In order to take out trash, some sort of reform was necessary. Luckily, we didn't even have to go through the pains of kicking them out!


So then who are you guys going to replace them with?

Demon: Azen, Swiss, and Merc, will be playing in F4F with us, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Merlini: We've scrimed with them and they seem to fit pretty, well so far. They are far more versatile then some other people on our team (aka me), so I'm glad i dont have to learn any more than my 5-6 heroes.


What was your guys reaction when mO and Fanat1c left EG, to make Pokerstars?

Merlini: My initial reaction was surprise, becuase it kind of seem out of the blue... personally it's fortuitous that they left, so we can use this opurtunity to strengthen our roster.

Demon: But..


Do any of you guys know, when mo said "****** dudely player" as a descripiton for EG?

Merlini: Demon got this one

Demon: Yeah, the player is Swiss and a street fighter 4 character


What do you guys think of the current competitive DotA scene in NA?

Demon: There is only 3 known and actually good teams on the NA scene, EG, PS, and TTT. I think we are still up to par with the european teams, including the other two teams I mentioned. Though there are many talented american dota players in the american dota scene, the frequency of teams disbanning and popping up is to high for teams to grow and really progress.


Any suggestions to the American dota players, in making a competitive dota team or trying to get better at DotA?

Merlini: Learn how to play all the roles, there are always to many carries and few supports, but supporting is just as important as carrying. Play with your friends, keep the atmoshpere light and fun, and try not to team up with people who will leave your team after a few months.

Demon: Keep playing, dont get emo, dont rage. Try your best always, and play with better people (even if you lose or get raped, thats where you learn the most)!


Do you guys plan in attending the eXperiance event, since you guys didn't attend the dreamhack one?

Merlini: :]

Demon: We will have to talk with our sponsors about that!


What do you guys think of the new map 6.60b?

Merlini: I'm happy that there are nerfs to popular, overpowered heroes(such as necrolyte) and remakes of many perviously worthless skills. This will hopefully make the hero pool, for the competitive pool much larger, maybe to the point to where we can play our favorite heroes, in compeititive dota matches! A lot of the new items, have a unique twist to them; I'm constantly surprised by IceFrog and his cronie's ideas as they were well designed and implemented. Again thanks to IceFrog for continuing development on this map - we appreciate all time and effort that he has put in for our favorite game.

Demon: I haven't played it much, but clockwerk with scepter = IMBA 0_0


What can we expect to see in Team EG in the future?

Demon: Well I'm sure everyone can the same EG as before. We've lost a few players along the way, but we still have our main core group of players; so getting a few more players that fit the bill is next on our agenda. Regarding that topic, we have a few people we've been trying out and don't think getting into our old form will be an issue
