    Talking Tongue Twisters

    Please repeat after me ....

    1. Sea shells

She sells sea shells by the sea shore.
And the shells she sells are surely sea shells.
Since she sells shells by the sea shore,
I'm sure the shells she sells are seashore shells.

    2. Shelly says

Shy Shelly says she shall sew sheets.

    3. Pick a pepper

Peter piper picked a peck of pickled pepper but which peck of pickled pepper did peter piper pick?
*Btw the #3 is a riddle .. do you know what it means ?::dance::

EF ... well i got this thing from my friend ... not from EF .... it is true however ... by "speaking" tongue twister, it will polish your english pronounciation skill becauce it wasn't your mother tongue.

I think Tongue Twisters exist almost in every country

Like saying "Ribu" -> repeated numerous times ... it come from Inodnesia of course

    or

Takegaki in Japanese ... were i remember correctly it was like this

"kono TAKATAKEGAKI ni TAKATAKE TATEKAKETA no wa, kono TAKATAKEGAKI ni TAKATAKE TATEKAKETAKATTA kara des!"

    The another tongue twister

I'm not the pheasant plucker, I'm the pheasant plucker's mate,
And I'm only plucking pheasants 'cause the pheasant plucker's late.
I'm not the pheasant plucker, I'm the pheasant plucker's son,
And I'm only plucking pheasants till the pheasant pluckers come.

    and another one

    Shep Schwab shopped at Schwab's Schnapps shop;
One shot of Scott's Schnapps stopped Schwab's watch

    My tongue feels strange ....

PS : Am i breaking the forum rules ? .. hope not ... ::cheers::

erm, I wonder wether if rapper like eminem, etc etc can spell it right?? ;p it would be awsome!!!

No offens, but actually I think it's not improving your pronouncation.. maybe it does work but only for some words which is contained by ur tongue twister..
B'coz u dont speak other words!!!

Tongue twisters and rapper rhymes (lyrics) is somewhat different.

You cant directly link them together, well it is maybe true that it wont improve your pronunciation but it is still better than topic that talks about grammar and stuff.

I have this book, "Fox in Socks" by Dr. Seuss, the book is filled by tongue twisters, here is one of the example

    Through three cheese trees
    three free fleas flew.
    While these fleas flew,
    freezy breeze blew.
    Freezy breeze made
    these three trees freeze.
    Freezy trees made
    these trees' cheese freeze.
    That's what made these
    three free fleas sneeze.

Will add more, i am lazy to type em all.

    Betty Botter
    bought some butter.
    "But," she said,
    "the butter's bitter.
    If I put it
    in my batter,
    it will make
    my batter bitter.
    But a bit
    of better butter
    that would make
    my batter better."

    So she bought
    a bit of butter,
    better than
    her bitter butter.
    And she put it
    in her batter,
    and the batter
    was not bitter.
    So it was better
    Betty Botter
    bought a bit
    of better butter!

how do u think about this? i need comment...

nice post, i've ended up cut my own tongue... by the way, here some tonguw twister that surely make your tongue twist and twirl..

The sick sixth Sheik's sixth sheep's sick.

The instinct of an extinct insect stinks.

Growing gray goats graze great green grassy groves.

Imagine managing the manger at an imaginary menagerie.

Mix a box of mixed biscuits with a boxed biscuit mixer.

A cuckoo cookie cook called Cooper could cook cuckoo cookies.
