    Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief is an upcoming fantasy-adventure film directed by Chris Columbus. The film is an adaptation of The Lightning Thief, the first novel in the Percy Jackson & The Olympians series by Rick Riordan. It will star Logan Lerman as the eponymous Percy Jackson alongside an ensemble cast which includes Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Jake Abel, Rosario Dawson, Steve Coogan, Uma Thurman, Catherine Keener, and Pierce Brosnan. It is set to release on February 12th, 2010. Christophe Beck will be composing the score.

    Plot

    A young boy named Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman) discovers that he is the demigod son of the Greek god, Poseidon (Kevin McKidd). He embarks on a journey across modern-day America with his friends Annabeth Chase (Alexandra Daddario), also a demigod, and Grover Underwood (Brandon T. Jackson), a satyr, to save his mother (Catherine Keener), return Zeus' (Sean Bean) stolen lightning bolt, and prevent a war between the gods.

    Percy Jackson, seorang anak berusia 12 tahun, penderita disleksia dan ADHD (hiperaktif).
    dia sudah pindah sekolah berkali-kali karena penyakitnya ubum dan di sekolahnya yang sekarang YancyAcademy dia pun hampir dikeluarkan lagi.
    Tetapi itu hanyalak sedikit dari sekian masalah yang menantinya. seperti pada saat kunjungan ke museum dan dia dapat memusnahkan monster itu dengan sebuah pulpen pemberian guru sejarahnya yang bisa berubah menjadi pedang.
    selama ini percy tidak pernah tahu siapa ayahnya dan ia yakin bahwa ibunya menyembunyikan sesuatu mengenai identitas ayahnya.
    Sampai pada saat mereka sedang liburan ibunya dihilangkan oleh seekor minotour (monster yang berbentuk seperti banteng) dan Percy terpaksa harus berada di sebuah perkemahan tempat anak-anak setengah dewa atau biasa disebut demigod atau pahlawan. yg ternyata ayahnya adalah seorang dewa dan diperkemahan itu dia mengetahui bahwa sahabatnya di sekolah Grover ternyata seorang satir (manusia berbadan kambing) yang bertugas menjaganya, guru sejarahnya ternyata adalah Chiron seekor centaurus pelatih pahlawan-pahlawan terkenal seperti Herkules, dan terungkap pula bahwa ia adalah putera Poseidon sang penguasa lautan salah satu dari tiga dewa besar (Zeus, Poseidon, dan Hades).
    tetapi sungguh sayang bukan kegembiraan yang diperoleh malah semakin banyak ancaman yang menantinya. karena diketahuinya Poseidon memiliki anak bearti Poseidon telah mengakui bahwa ia telah melanggar perjanjian untuk tidak akan memiliki anak dari manusia (karena kekuatan tiga dewa tersebut terlampau besar, sehingga kekuatan anak-anak mereka pun akan lebih dari para demigod lain). dan percy pun menjadi tersangka utama sebagai pencuri petir asali milik Zeus dan helm milik Hades. Sehingga selain dikejar oleh para monster para dewa-dewa juga mengejarnya.
    Percy dengan ditemani dua orang temannya Grover dan Annabeth (puteri Athena) diberi misi untuk mencari dan mengembalikan benda keramat tersebut dan mendamaikan kembali perang yang hampir pecah di Gunung Olympus hanya dalam waktu sepuluh hari. tetapi tantangannya jauh lebih berat dari itu, Percy akhirnya harus berhadapan dengan kekuatan mengerikan yang bahkan lebih hebat dari para dewa sendiri.

    ini film adaptasi dari novel na Rick Riordan..
    qlo ga slh total ada 5 Novel, ini buku seri pertama, The Lightning Thief...
    yg ke-2 : The Sea of Monsters
    yg ke-3 : The Titans Curse
    yg ke-4 : The Battle of the Labyrinth
    yg ke-5 : The last Olympian
    kemungkinan c bakal bikin sekuel yg lain jg nie film, qlo nanti menarik perhatian para penikmat film dunia...

    barusan dari toko buku ngecek ternyata udah terbit ampe yang ke 3 novelnya..

    kalo menurut gw pribadi agak kurang menggigit ini filmnya.. tp ide nya gw suka.. jadi gw mo coba baca novelnya skrg..

    dibioskop nya aja full, gile haha

    ceritanya sih lumayan, tapi bagian hades mati nya gitu doang, gue kira bakal lebih seru
