zK.Cheri gaming are one of a series of latest female teams to be picked up by an organization. Hailing as a team of pure and pleasant-looking girls from Malaysia, can zK.Cheri rise up to the challenges of a female team in the scene? Can they be taken seriously by their peers and fans as 'gamers who are girls' rather than 'girls trying to be gamers?'

This year, more organizations have started picking up female teams, most recently Loveen who expressed an interest in putting together a group of girls from China who allegedly have existing links to many of China's current stars on the other side of the scene. For 2010, three female teams seem to be ahead of the rest: Nirvana.girl, PMS|Asterisk* and last but not least the newly recruited zK.Cheri gaming female team. Who will reign supreme in this battle of the hormones?

Brief History:
zK.Cheri gaming is Malaysia's first ever all-female DotA team. Formed by a bunch of innocent and pure-looking girls, they first met on the common gaming platform Garena and found that they clicked well with each other and their frequencies were on the same level. From there, the girls decided to form a team together to take their competitive play to the next level.

Hi, please give a brief introduction of yourself.
Hi, my name is Suki and I am 21 years old. I played for team Cheri which join zK recently. I played for almost every position but the position i prefer is carry and i have played for one year now, it was my boyfriend who introduced this game to me.

Since your boyfriend was the one who introduced the game to you, is he currently in the competitive scene or any teams?
No, he is now focussed on his job. sometimes he just play with me to kill time.

Describe each of your teammates in detail, be it personal or dota-wise.
I am afraid that i have to keep a little bit of privacy for them, but they are all good team members, we knew each other in Dota and we get along quickly.

Can you tell us roughly how did the six of you get together as a team?
We always go onto Garena and play games together, be it a game that lost or win, we enjoy it together as a team. We are more like internet friends. It is pretty common nowadays, although some of us meet only like once or twice, but we chat a lot via Skype and mobile phones.

Is your team Malaysia's first ever female team? There does not seem to be any other known female teams coming from Malaysia in the scene.
Yeah, i am guessing we are the first girls Dota team from Malaysia.

Do you all forsee any potential competition? Does the community consist of any top female individual players?
Actually there is quite a lot of good female Dota players like Viv and Shizuma. Just not many people are aware of that.

Speaking of Shizuma, we've heard so much about her, from Iron ladies and playing in a male-dominated team in SMM qualifiers. Do you agree with the assessment that Shizuma is currently the best female dota player in the scene?
Yeah, she is one of the best. She farms very well and she is also good in playing her role for her team.

Right now in the scene there are two other famous female teams besides yours, most notably Nirvana.girl and PMS|Asterisk. Does zK.Cheri hope to surpass these girls or at least be on the same playing field with them?
We are still in training and hopefully we can be on par with them soon.

Will zK.cheri be recruiting in the future? Or do u plan to stick with ur lineup for a long period of time?
We certainly welcome all female DotA players to join us.

How can they join your team? Is there a platform to apply or they need to contact you specifically?
They can contact me or our current managers Desmond and Ftz-Bing.

What are the first few matches/tournaments your team will be looking to take part in?
Maybe in a few months we will be joining some online tournaments and some small lan tournaments.

Which of Malaysia's dota teams do you think has the best chances of making it big in 2010 and doing your country proud?
Every team have the potential to get a good result in 2010, but personally i am looking up to team KS, Nirvana.my and FTZ,I think this is the best way to answer this question.
