MYM presents Peregrine Prime Defending #12

Given the history and importance of the Prime Defending series to the competitive DotA scene, Iron Will Innovations, the creators of The Peregrine gaming glove, is extremely proud and excited to help bring the series back to the community as the Peregrine Prime Defending #12 tournament. As with its predecessors, this event will be open to all participants, will feature nifty prizes, and will of course showcase the world's greatest DotA talents.

The tournament format for this series will be set as the same format used in Pride #7. The tournament will be separated into a qualifier stage, group stage and then the playoffs.

• Qualifier:
  
  There will be qualifier for each continent. Ten teams in each qualifier will come up on top to enter the next hurdle, the group stage. The games will be played in bo1.
• Groupstage:
  
  In the group stage, the 40 qualifying teams will be divide into 8 groups of 5. Two highest scoring teams will move on to the playoffs while the remaining three will be eliminated.
• Playoffs:
  
  The playoffs stage will be played in double elimination format. In the winner bracket, a bo3 format will be used while bo1 format will be used in the loser bracket. The grand final will be played in bo5 with the team from the winner bracket receiving a 1:0 advantage.

• Asian and Oceania qualifier
• East European qualifier
• West European qualifier
• American qualifier

The signups will be open untill Sunday, 9th of May 23.59 CET.

Prize distribution courtesy of Peregrine:

• Champion ~ $700 + 5 x Peregrine Gloves
• Runner-up ~ $500
• 2nd runner-up ~ $300
