The Return of SMM

Last year's SMM was nothing short of a memorable and extremely successful event having been graced by some of the finest talents in the DotA scene, both Asian and European alike. This year's edition promises to be an even bigger bonanza than the last as an increase in prize pool along with the champion walking off with a whopping RM 50,000 is an enticing prospect for all. The exact date and venue have not been confirmed yet.

The tournament format has been very skillfully and thoughtfully designed in order to ensure that only the finest teams among the participants will be able to play in the Grand Finals. Eight qualifiers will be held in different states throughout Malaysia, with the top four placing teams advancing into the Grand Finals. As a bonus for less experienced teams, a select few among Malaysia's top teams shall be seeded directly into the Grand Finals, the teams being Nirvana.my, INC'Excello, Kingsurf and MUFC. International teams willing to participate in this presitigious event have been spared from playing in qualification by being directly seeded for the finals.

• Runner-up ~ RM21,000 (± Rp.60,000,000)
• 2nd runner-up ~ RM14,000 (± Rp.39,500,000)
• 3rd runner-up ~ RM9,000 (± Rp.25,000,000)
• 4th runner-up ~ RM3,000 (± Rp8,500,000)
• 5th runner-up ~ RM2,000 (± Rp.5,500,000)
• 6th runner-up ~ RM1,500 (± Rp.4,000,000)
• 7th runner-up ~ RM1,000 (± Rp.3,000,000)
