    THE BIG LIST of NASTIES & Counter Measures


    As the game expands and the number of incapacitating effects grows, I feel we need a global list of the spells you need to be aware of in PvP and how to counter them (if possible).

    Unlike other caster classes, Priests do not have talents that prevent lock downs from casting, so know thy enemy if you hope to survive.

    I'll update the list as people post additions, corrections and countermeasures for each category. (we all know, "you can't do that while stunned" so please refrain from QQ posts).



    STUNS:

    Druid: Bash (Bear From), Pounce (Cat Form);
    Hunter: Intimidation (Talent)
    Mage: Impact (Talent Percentage chance to stun)
    Paladin: Hammer of Justice, Seal of Justice;
    Priest: Blackout (Talent Percentage chance to stun)
    Rogue: Gouge, Kidney Shot, Cheap Shot
    Warlock: Shadowfury (Trainable Talent)
    Warrior: Intercept, Charge, Concussion Blow (Talent), Improved Revenge (talent)
    Shaman: Improved Fire Nova Totem (talent )


    SLOWS:

    Hunter: Concussive Shot, Wing Clip, Frost Trap
    Mage: Frost Armor, Ice Armor, Frostbolt, Slow, Cone of Cold, Blast Wave
    Rogue: Deadly Throw, Crippling Poison
    Shaman: Frost Shock, Frostbrand Weapon, Earthbind Totem
    Warlock: Curse of Exhaustion


    SNARES:

    Druid: Feral Charge (Cat form)
    Hunter: Wing Clip, Frost Trap, :Concussive Shot
    Mage: Frostbolt, Cone of Cold, Blast Wave, Slow
    Paladin: Judgement of Justice
    Priest: Mind Flay
    Rogue: Crippling Poison, Deadly Throw
    Shaman: Frost Shock, Earthbind Totem
    Warlock: Curse of Exhaustion
    Warrior: Hamstring



    DAZE:

    Druid: Charge (Cat form)
    Rouge: Blade Twisting (talented)
    Paladin: Avenger's Shield
    Warlock: Aftermath (talented)
    Hunter: Concussive Barrage (talented) , Concussive Shot
    Warrior: Shield Bash, Piercing Howl,


    ROOT:

    Warrior: Hamstring (Arms talent, 15% chance to root)
    Druid: Entangling Roots, Bear Charge (interrupt, root)
    Mage: Frost Nova
    Hunter: Counterattack
    Deathknight: Chains of Ice (3 sec root effect followed by 10 second snar-- target regains 10% of their movement speed each second after breaking free of the chains.)



    SILENCE (& hybrid lock-outs):

    Warrior: (talented) Gag Order Gag (makes Shield Bash & Heroic Throw a Silence)
    Shadow Priest: Silence
    Mage: Counter Spell (interrupt +8 second spell lock) Improved (talented, first 4-secs silenced)
    DeathKnight: Mind Freeze: (4 second lock on 10 second CD), Strangulate (5 sec silence)
    Shaman: WInd Shock, Earth Shock (interrupt, 2 sec lockout)
    Hunter: Silencing Shot (Talent)


    DISORIENT:

    Rogue: Blind
    Hunter: Scatter Shot (Talent)
    Mage: Dragon's Breath (Talent)



    CROWD CONTROL:

    Rouge: SAP
    Mage: Polymorph, Frost Nova
    Priest: Mind Control, Psychic Scream, Divine Hymn
    Hunter: Freezing Trap, Wyvern Sting (talent ability)
    Warlock: Fear
    Druid - Entangling Roots. Cyclone (Usable indoor since Patch 3.0.2)
    Paladin - Repentance
    Shaman - Hex



    PETs & MINIONS:

    Enhancement Shaman: wolves (Feral Spirit talent) have a Bash

    Warlock Pet, Succubus: Seduction
    Warlock Pet, Felhunter: Spell Lock (3 secs)
    Warlock Pet, Felguard: Intercept (3 sec stun)

    DeathKnight Ghoul: Gnaw (stuns for 3 seconds)

    Hunter Pet Talents:
    Nether Shock (interrupt +2 sec lockout),
    Poison Spit (reduces the target's casting speed by 50% for 8 seconds)
    Froststorm Breath (slows target for 5 seconds)


    Hunter Pet Counter Talents:

    Bullheaded - Removes all movement impairing effects and all effects which cause loss of control of your pet (meaning you will always get chewed on)

    Ferocity: Removes all movement impairing effects and all effects which cause loss of control of your pet.



    RACIALS:

    Tauren: War Stomp : Activate to stun opponents - Stuns up to 5 enemies within 8 yards for 2 seconds. 2 minute cooldown.
    Bloodelf: Arcane Torrent : Activate to silence all enemies within 8 yards for 2 seconds.
    Earthen Power Rank 2
    Your Earthbind Totem's pulses have a 100% chance to also remove all snare effects from you and nearby friendly targets, and your Earth Shock reduces enemy attack speed by an additional 10%.
    Ini mau tanya,
    kalo sesuai definisi nya,
    sap rogue tuh tidak termasuk snares.

    Awalnya gue cuma denger cerita temen gue di arena,
    rogue nge sap shaman, kok shaman nya lepas terus sap nya.

    Nah, gue kemaren ini pas maen pake rogue,
    nge sap shaman, durasi sap belom abis, dia udah lepas,
    gue sap lagi, terulang lagi, sap belom abis, dia lepas lagi.

    Pas gue liat totem nya, kalo gue gak salah liat ya,
    dia pake totem earth bound,
    nah kalo diliat dari tooltips nya.

    Harusnya sap nya rogue tuh tidak kena efek dari totem earthbound,
    karena bukan termasuk snares effect.

    Mau tanya sama pemaen2 shaman enhance atau siapapun yang pernah ngalamin kejadian kaya rogue gue, bener gak gitu ya ?

    Ok di thread sebelah ada yang confirm satu orang,
    jadi keliatannya iya ini talent nya nge bug.

    Minta confirm dari yang laen juga kalo bisa please.

    Lewat thread ini gue pengen cari tau, itu totem ngaruh nya ke apa aja ?

    Soalnya kan harus nya ke snares doank,
    kalo ngaruh ke semua,
    rasanya cukup imba itu talent kalo dipake buat arena.

    Jadi gak bisa di CC sama sekali.

    Yah, gue gak berharap itu talent di disable juga, karena gue sendiri pernah ngerasain sengsara nya maen shaman enhance,
    tujuan gue disini cuma buat nyari tau, itu talent ngefek ke mana aja ? supaya bisa dibenerin sama GM.

    menurut tooltip nya sih begitu
    jangan macam-macam dengan spesies yang sedang dilindungi
