So just in the process now of joining the AMPM server and have a few questions mainly about the quality.
1. How often is the server down and how long will it usually go down for?
2. Lag much? I don't really care about lag in Dal or Org, but how does the server perform in raid conditions?
3. English? My bahasa is pretty weak still especially when it comes to the internet abbreviations are there any English guilds on the server or am I gonna be taking a crash course in bahasa?
4. Also guess this should probably go into tech support but is there anyway to transfer a character off a public server to a private one?
Anyway look forward to seeing you all in game eventually even if it will just be as I walk over your corpse,

hey there dude (you're a dude right?) welcome to this server. glad to know you've put an interest in playing at this server. a nice addition to our community.

1. regular scheduled down for maintenance usually takes place around saturdays or mondays noon-evening local time (GMT+7). it ranges from 2 hours until indefinitely. depending on the level of maintenance itself. for this kind of down, the GM will give announcements in the forum before executed.
and yeah, there are also sudden disconnection every now and then when you actually playing. but it usually because of server restart or simple malfunctioning. it'll be up in another 5-10 minutes afterwards. be careful about this since it usually followed up by rollbacks as well.

2. i am happy to say that overall, this server performs well. yes there are lags now and then but not regular. noticable lags when there are too many players (at the number of 1000ish, i don't know if it's been upgraded or not) or after-maintenance (this probably due to unstable implementation or residual glitch after maintenance).

3. most people playing are speaking bahasa. but some of them may understand and communicate in english quite very well. you should probably let people know first that you're not native indonesian when you're dealing with them so they will understand how to communicate with you. otherwise they'll just assume that you speak bahasa. if you search a little bit further, there are several threads and topics in this forum dedicated in defining the slangs and abbreviation used in this server such as the common ones (LFG, LFM, etc) and specific ones. i forgot where it is but i think it's somewhere in general discussion or guide section.
my suggestion is that you should make some friends first along your way since it'll be very beneficial for you in the future. don't hesitate to say that you're a newbie although you're actually an expert. some people can be very modest if you're nice to them.

Played on Cairne US sever for about 3 years, my old main character was Xynos (rogue) but because he was inactive they seem to have deleted him. But haven't played for about a year now mainly because I moved to Indonesia and was only using flash drive internet.
Have experience with pretty much all raid content up to but excluding LK ( a week or so after I stopped playing my guild downed him ), And have experience with all the classes except shammy and mage.

which part of canada are you from?

Toronto, BC is pretty chillin though hope to get back there for a holiday sometime.
Well my 3.3.5 torrent still not finished, the registration site still down and weekends are my party time with my girlfriend so thanks for your help, good luck this weekend and hopefully will meet a few of you in game next week,

not all bosses are available for encounter, namely The Lich King due to limited resources (read: script, etc). and some bosses' specification (encounter, skills, looting) may not be as to be expected to the official references.
so, you should just bear with what we have at the moment.

Ya understandable, I don't expect a free private server to be able to provide the same quality as a public server.
My only hope is that the raid encounters will be as challenging as the real thing and that my fellow raiders will be willing to sit through nights of nothing but wipes as we learn the encounters throughly.

So I guess my next question is do we have any hardcore raiding guilds on the server? Also how many original accounts do we have (how many actual players)? Do things like the dungeon finder tools work?
hahaha sorry ya am hungry for info as I'm still waiting for the registration site to come back online so I can play.
