Then if group one is the heavier side, then the answer is stone number 5. But if group two is heavier, the answer is either 6, 7 or 8.
    you done it wrong

    if group 2 is heavier, 1 and 2 can also be the answer

    well i do remember playing this game on NDS
    and I cheated too! LOL

    here's the solution (copied from GameFAQs)

    First Usage:
    Weigh 4 weights on each side (remember which ones and the slope):
    eg. 1-2-3-4 vs 5-6-7-8
    Unbalance --> <A> (answer in one of these 8 weights)
    Balance --> <B> (answer in other 4 weights)

    Second Usage
    <A>
    Of the 8 weights you weighed before, take 3 off the right side, and
    grab 2 from the left side and put it them on the right. And then
    one weight you didn't weigh before on the left.
    eg. 1-2-x vs 3-4-5
    (where x=9, 10, 11 or 12)
    Slope of Balance Unchanged --> <A-1>
    Slope of Balance Changed --> <A-2>
    Balance --> <A-3>

    <B>
    Leave 3 weights on one side, and take 3 weights you didn't weigh
    before and put them one the other side.
    eg. 1-2-3 vs 9-10-11
    Right Heavier --> <B-1>
    Left Heavier --> <B-2>
    Balance --> ANSWER = Weight never weighed

    Third Usage
    <A-1>
    Since the slope is unchanged, the two you switched from left to
    right before and are not the answer. The answer is one of the other
    three weights, the other 9 are "wrong". Now, move the "answer"
    weight from the right and put it on the left, and take the other
    "answer" weight (on the left) out. Now put two of the other "wrong"
    weights on the right side.
    eg. 1-5 vs x-x
    (where x=3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12)
    Slope of Balance Changed --> ANSWER = Weight on right in 2nd
    usage
    Slope of Balance Unchanged --> ANSWER = Weight on left in 2nd
    usage
    Balance --> ANSWER = Weight left out

    <A-2>
    Since the slope has changed, the one of two weights you switched
    from left to right before are the answer. Move one of the two back
    to the left side.
    eg. 3 vs 4
    Slope of Balance Changed --> ANSWER = Left weight
    Slope of Balance Unchanged --> ANSWER = Right Weight

    <A-3>
    Since the scale is balanced, the answer is one of the 3 weights you
    had taken out. Put one on each side of the scale and leave the
    other out.
    eg. 6 vs 7
    Unbalance --> If slope in First Usage said that right side was
    heavier, ANSWER = Heavier weight
    --> If slope in First Usage said that right side was
    lighter, ANSWER = Lighter weight
    Balance --> ANSWER = Weight left out

    <B-1>
    The three on the right are heavier, so put one on each side of the
    scale, and leave one out.
    eg. 9 vs 10
    Unbalance --> ANSWER = Heavier side
    Balance --> ANSWER = Weight left out

    <B-2>
    The three on the right are lighter, so put one on each side of the
    scale, and leave one out.
    eg. 9 vs 10
    Unbalance --> ANSWER = Lighter side
    Balance --> ANSWER = Weight left out
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    not telling the game tho

    Of course not. Logically, I moved stone 5 to group with stone 1 & 2 because group 5, 6, 7, 8 is the heavier side. If apparently 1, 2, 5 is heavier, then the answer would be stone 5, because it has different weight. And if 6, 7, 8 is heavier, 1 & 2 cannot be the answer because they have the SAME weight (remember that 5, 6, 7, 8 is heavier).

    are you sure one stone from 5,6,7,8 is heavier? how if one from 1,2,3,4 is lighter?

    --" cheaters, cheats don't make the game fun anymore, especially puzzle game (professor layton?)

    lol blame me for being stupid then
    but yeah i kinda figured it out most of the puzzles from Professor Layton by myself exc the Bug in an apple thingy.
    This scale puzzle I can solve like in 10 mins by trial and error.
    oh and the 'COMPASS' puzzle took me like 3 days to find the correct word for 'jangka' or 'paser' in english

    10 min for trial and error? i guess 2 minute is enough

    use dictionary! (or alfalink)

    the puzzle that consume my time the most are the chocolate puzzle (GECY NW) and royal escape (last)

    this.. new question...
    this is super duper easy...

    here we go:

    there's 5 person who will cross the bridge and it's so dark, so they must bring a lamp

    and they only have 1 lamp
    the oil in that lamp just can make it light up for 30 sec

    the 5 person is

    1. thin boy (need 1 sec to cross the bridge)
    2. fat boy (need 3 sec to cross the bridge)
    3. a thin woman need (6 sec to cross the bridge)
    4. a very very very fat man( need 8 sec to cross the bridge)
    5. a old man (need 12 sec to cross the bridge)

    how can all of them arrive in other side???

    rules :
    the lamp must not off
    only 2 person that can across the bridge in the same time
    don't cheating (if you did too, i won't know)

    IT's super duper easy...
    just think it..
    it's elementary school's test IQ
