Those screams...
longing for hands to hold
longing for love to come
is there somebody who cares,
or is it because u r invisible?
how will tomorrow be seen?
questions arise, but u r just too tired
wandering from one crowded street to another
Burnt from the sun flare
tremble from the cold heavy rain
waiting for the dark night sky
the time ur feet stop roaming to rest
under the shade of stars
the future is unclear
in the midst of hunger and loneliness
Nobody cares, nobody looks at u
yet u go on
u never ask too much
just a bowl of rice today
and a small glass of water to quench ur thirst
Never dream of having that ice cream u always see inside the car windows
And about the taste of the delicious fried chicken,
having its smell while u eat a spoonful of rice is just more than enough
u've no time to cry
and u've forgotten the reason to smile
fate is a cruel word for u
Again, u stand up after some minutes' rest
with some coins inside ur plastic bowl,
u say it with faith, 'there'll always be tomorrow,
a chance for me to sleep under a roof
a dream in which I can laugh with friends playing in the swimming pool.'
Another new dawn has come,
u move ur tiny body,
answering the sign to go to the traffic lights.
