None of them are having the same nationality or having the same beverage or smoke the same cigarettes or maintain the same animal.


The question: Who among those people that having a fish for his pet ?


Instructions:

1. English people live in the red house

2. Sweden people have a dog

3. Denmark people like to drink tea

4. The green house is located just to the left of the white house

5. The one that live in the green house like to having a coffee

6. People who smoke PallMall (Nama rokok) have a bird as a pet

7. The one That have the house located in the middle , is like to drink milk

8. The one that live in the yellow house smokes Dunhill

9. Norwegian People live in the first house

10. People who smoke Marlboro live next to people who keep cats

Five nationalities, five drinks, five pets, five cigarettes, and five houses with different colors.


First of all, get your paper and something for writing.

To make it easier to see, draw a table.


Step by step.

1. Read clue no. 9: Norwegian, 1st position.
2. No. 13, blue house next to Norwegian. Because the Norwegian is at 1ST POSITION, so the blue house MUST BE THE 2ND.
3. No. 7, the middle one is a milk drinker.
4. Look at no. 4 and 5 at once.
   The COFFEE drinker has GREEN house.
   It's impossible for green house to be the 1st. Remember, he/she's the LEFT NEIGHBOUR of white house. The 2nd is blue, right?
   AND
   It's also impossible for green house to occupy 3rd position. Why? Because the 3rd position is MILK drinker.
   So, we have 4th position for GREEN house, and 5th for WHITE house.
5. Obviously, you can put clue no. 1 to the paper. Englishman is in the 3rd position, have RED house. Also, he's the milk drinker.
6. Next, the only colors left is YELLOW. The answer is? Yes, the Norwegian has YELLOW house.
7. Yay!! The house's color position is completely filled!!
8. What's next? Let's see clue no. 8. YELLOW house, smokes DUNHILL. In the other words, 1st = Norwegian = yellow = Dunhill.
9. No. 12, horse owner is a Dunhill's neighbour. It means, the 2nd = blue = horse.
10. Next, clue 15. Marlboro's smoker is next to water drinker. Since the 3rd (English, red, milk) and 4th (green, coffee) was already occupied, so the only place for Marlboro is the 2nd position. Marlboro = blue = horse.
11. Thus, makes the 1st = Norwegian = Dunhill = water.
12. 11th clue, beer drinker smokes Winfield. The only place is 5th.
    Why?
    If you follow correctly, the 1st already drinks water and smokes Dunhill.
    The 2nd smokes Marlboro.
    The 3rd drinks milk.
    The 4th drinks coffee.
13. Analyze clue no. 3. Danish person = tea. The only space is 2nd position. 2nd position is completed now!!
14. Look at no. 2 and 6 at once.
    The Swedish has a dog, doesn't smoke PallMall, and can't occupy 3rd position because the Englishman was in it already.
    Conclusion? Swedish = 5th = dog.

16. What else?
    The only spaces left for nationality, cigar, AND pet is the 4th.
    German = green = coffee = Rothmans = FISH.
