Marc Márquez led second practice for the Dutch TT at a rain-soaked Assen on Thursday afternoon, while reigning World Champion Jorge Lorenzo suffered a heavy fall and is being assessed for a collarbone injury at the circuit's medical centre.
With the anticipated showers arriving ahead of the second session, riders lapped over ten seconds slower than the times witnessed this morning. Repsol Honda's Márquez ultimately ended the 45 minute outing on top, clocking an effort of 1:47.617.
Valentino Rossi was next on the timesheets, 0.252 seconds adrift of the Spaniard, with Dani Pedrosa almost four tenths further back. Stefan Bradl wound up fourth, with the Ducatis of Andrea Dovizioso and Nicky Hayden completing the top six.
Britan's Cal Crutchlow finished seventh fastest, with Bradley Smith in 18th position.
