Story behind the photos:
All of the photos were taken in Clarke Quay (Singapore), except the bottom-left one. It was taken in a hotel in Tj. Pagar area (Singapore). Clarke Quay is always as beautiful as those photos. So, I just want to tell something about the bottom-left photo. The girl with blue shirt wanted to have Korean food in Tj. Pagar as our dinner. We took a bus and went there. Unfortunately, she forgot the exact place of the restaurant.
So, we just walked down the street and I saw a nice hotel with a very big Christmas tree with the purple ornaments! I freaked out and forced them to just got inside the hotel and took a photo and went out like nothing's happened.
(FYI, I really a maniac in purple. Forgive me for doing that.
)
They are all of my superb Indonesian friends. Yea, I moved to Singapore by myself last June for my studies and I just met them in the orientation day. I used to lock myself in the bedroom to avoid the chaos of firework in every single event, such as Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year, etc (sorry for categorizing firework as ‘chaos’, but for me, firework is really disturbing
). BUT, I feel different in this Christmas.
NO firework, JUST HAPPINESS!.
Not only be blessed by having amazing Indonesian friends, I want to share other presents that I received in this Christmas.
I joined and won a writing competition (Indonesian flash fiction competition) last month. All the winner's writings are collected and edited to be in a e-book. Picture number 1 shows that the e-book is finally launched to be read and it's free to be downloaded!
A very amazing Christmas gift ever, right?
Actually, I don't celebrate Christmas and I have never received presents in Christmas Eve. Picture number 2 is presents that are given from my Malaysian and Chinese friends.
There are a letter, an origami, and sweet cane candies.
We are actually not having a Christmas and New Year holiday. (soooooooo sad!)
We are struggling in our assignments' deadline this week and the exams coming in January.
It's really sweet when people make and give something to you, no matter how busy they are, isn't it?
