Classic platforming character controls: jump, dash, free-aimed shooting + tons of upgrades to extend your reach / mobility
Bigger levels with an option to explore and uncover secrets.
5+ unlockable classes that offer drastically different play style (e.g. playing through the same 60 min of play through a completely different experience).
Customizing your character via stacking upgrades on top of the base class.
Fast progression/leveling up, a complete play through takes 45-60 min => unlocks new items/classes, that plus achievements and secrets make you replay the game a lot as each class plays differently.
Permadeath – but you’ll keep your experience and perks
Random equipment drops that alter your play style.
Randomly generated placement of enemies, environmental objects, pickup-items, gambling stations, secrets and events.
Interaction between elements. E.g. goop can be set ablaze and vice versa.
Basic hazards and helpers: force fields, fire, explosive barrels and more.
Five basic enemy types and one elite mech enemy with different attack variants and power levels each.
Randomly generated placement of enemies, environmental objects, pickup items, gambling stations, secrets and events.

Level Dressing:
Town level and Underground Factory are fully dressed now. The skins for the Underground
Factory serve as placeholder for the three remaining biomes which will be released in future updates.

8 chained levels (4 larger ones connected via linear levels). Each large level ends with the sub-boss (for now Gobot as a stand-in).

Goblin Walker.
Patched up Mecha Shark enemy.

Green goblins revamp
Toned down the green goblins, make them easier to kill and make them telegraph. They’re very random, unpredictable and dangerous.
Additionally now will throw magic goo at you (not only pile on you).

Gameplay Changes
UI overhaul
new character selection screen.
overall snappier and punchier.

Reworked PC hitstun
Getting hit pushes you up, making it easier to recover mid-jump and being more visible on the ground.

Capped explosive barrel velocity (no more surprise barrels to the face from off-screen).

New stability stat for PCs

Those lead to different play styles/dynamics.
More noticeable up/downsides to each.

No more invisible particles that kill you.
